Tomb Raider: Underworld

23 11 2008

The newest TB game is finally upon us! Now, the best would be to play it on a next-gen console or PC,since the DS version isn’t all high and mighty.

You start off the game at the Croft Manner, with it being in flames. You must get though them in order to find out who is responsible for such a deed.Controls are simple, fast learning, you choose your weapon on the touch-screen,jump by pressing B,shoot by R.Rather simple, right?

Good? Bad? Weak?

Wonder why she's so popular?

Cutscenes are truly amazing,in real 3D.Although taken form the next-gen consoles, they’re still amaing to see on the DS.Back on the Story. You see an undentified man shooting at Lara while running. In the movie way, you get a  ”One Week Before” message. You see Lara in a underwater suit, the only ones she has,on a yacht talking to the same men a few seconds ago. Apparently, she found out that her mother is alive, after all,but in a underwater city, ruin or whatever.Reasonably, you must find her.As in any Tomb Raider fashion, levels are filled with mythical beings such as Giant Octopuses etc. The only change in Underworld is that you don’t fight them. You need to outsmart them, literally.

Each level is a 3D side-scroller which works fine at the DS,since third person would be too much to ask. This is as far as we got,for now.Unless something drastically changes, the chances that this article will get changed are slim.

When it’s all put together this isn’t a triple A tittle for the DS.Not even close.Besides nice cutscenes with half naked Lara, this game doesn’t have too much to offer. If you’re a fan you will certanly like it,if you didn’t get bored with Legend. Tehnically it’s not even half bad,it’s just a new game on a revamped engine, with a few things improved.

Running though water?

Mythical Ruins? *cough* Atlantis *cough*
