While the official changelog of firmware 4.05 is underwhelming, it does feature a key hidden feature: support for movie and TV service. According to this support page on PlayStation.com, “Support for PLAYSTATION®Store Movies and TV video service” has also been added in firmware 4.05. Undoubtedly, we’re going to find out more about this service during tomorrow’s E3 conference.

Stay tuned.

Worms: Open Warfare!

9 07 2008

For those that never heard of Worms (which is hard to believe),the Worms are a franchise created by Team17.It is basically a face-off between two teams of Worms. The goal is to wipe out the opposing team before they wipe you out.

In that goal, you can use Bazookas,Guns,Bombs,Exploding Bananas, even Kamehameha! to aid you.

The basic game came out only on the DS and the PSP and has a sequel, you guessed it,Open Warfare 2.

The game is quite huge, and has allot of modes to keep you entertained.

Singleplayer:

  • Quick Game – A fast game
  • Puzzle – To test your Worms skills
  • Campaing – Go on missions against the AI
  • Laboratory – Blow,Blast and Draw modes where you need to touch, poke and blow to get your worm to the finish
  • Training – Training your Worm

Multiplayer:

  • Single-Card Play – Play with local DS’es in your area using one cartridge
  • Multi-Card Play – Using two
  • Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection -  Battling people around the world  ( Wi-Fi Router is needed)

Customization:

  • Manage Team – Change the names and customize your worms
  • Manage Schemes – And your schemes
  • Landscape Editor – Change the landscape on which you battle
  • Flag Editor – Change the flags

Shop:

  • Buy – Skins,skills,abilities,maps

Options:

  • Medal Cabinet
  • Audio – Adjust the audio
  • Send Demo – Send Demo…
  • Help
  • Introduction Wizard
  • Erase Save Data

The Worms are extremely fun to play! This game goes in a circle.”You get a turn with the worms,he gets a turn with the worms,it goes back and forth until someone’s dead.”- JoshuaZimmerman

The game is fun and easy to learn for ant age,or type.It let’s you customize your team to the fullest, changing their voices, victory dances, tombstones and a bunch of other fun things.

You can create your own landscape, modify already existing ones,go online and beat the heck out of the competition.

The game keeps you entertained…well until you buy the sequel, which doesn’t really have that much more to offer, excluding different levels, some new weapons and so on.

Since the game came out before Christ, the price isn’t high (about 12 pounds) and buying a copy would not disappoint you.

To wrap up things,Worms Open Warfare is fun-filled game, that can be entertaining for any age.
